Buenos Aires, March 9 (NA) – The 20th edition of Expoagro will begin this Tuesday at the fairgrounds of San Nicolás de los Arroyos and will run until March 13, inclusive. The event is generating significant anticipation due to the agricultural sector's demand on President Javier Milei to eliminate export duties. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, ExpoAgro has set a new record: all spaces were reserved in advance, with over 700 exhibitors and 100 companies joining or returning to the event. Andrea Fiadone, Head of Content at Exponenciar, emphasized that the fair will once again offer a “robust and diverse agenda” and announced that there will be seven auditoriums throughout the exhibition: Tecnodromo Mario Bragachini, Auditorio Carne Argentina, Carpa de Remates IPCVA, Auditorio Prensa, Auditorio Centro de Agronegocios, Anfiteatro ArgenINTA, and Auditorio Agtech John Deere. The agenda will feature two new proposals: Eureka! Drones, with practical experiences, success cases, and opportunities, along with advice for those looking to adopt this technology; and the Contractors Summit, edición Piersanti. The Plea to the Government Within the rural ecosystem, there is anticipation for an announcement regarding Export Rights (DEX) and their definitive elimination. The latest development on the matter was a reduction of between 1 and 2 percentage points for soybeans, corn, wheat, sunflowers, other crops, and their derivatives. Although no government official has confirmed their participation, various political and economic figures will attend the event over its four days. The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, will participate in the opening dinner of the fair this Monday evening, according to official sources reported by the Argentine News Agency. The event will take place at the Colonial Hotel. “Since we began our administration, we have dedicated ourselves to generating public policies that would provide answers for the interior of Buenos Aires, but the current political and economic scenario drives us to continue thinking about how to add value in a sector as competitive as agribusiness,” Kicillof had stated in a previous meeting with the organizers of ExpoAgro. The remaining days will feature the participation of prominent figures such as economists Carlos Melconian, Fausto Spotorno, Salvador Di Stéfano, and the Buenos Aires official Gabriel Katopodis, Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services, among other actors.
